Vera T. Tice
Vera Tice is a board director, global strategic advisor, and former Fortune 500 technology executive in healthcare innovation, technology, and cybersecurity in public and private companies. She has board, corporate, startup, consulting and technology experience in the healthcare technology and diagnostics, medical device, network security, and mobile telecommunications industries. Ms.Tice brings corporate governance, technology and cybersecurity risk governance, corporate strategy and growth, technology and innovation, digital transformation, R&D product/service development, and M&A integration expertise to corporate boards. As a global strategic advisor, she serves on international expert panels and advises private and public sector organizations in advancing healthcare and improving human health.
Currently Ms. Tice holds Board of Directors and Board Committee leadership roles with VNA Care and serves as an advisor and international expert panel member to several global and national organizations investing in healthcare innovation. Most recently she was Interim Executive Chair/CEO during the CEO/C-suite transition at Impact Vitals, transforming a private software technology company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and its applications in human physiology. Previously, she was an advisor to the Wellcome Trust (UK), and advisory board member to Partners Healthcare (now Mass General Brigham).
Prior to her current board and advisory work, Ms. Tice held senior executive positions in businesses and non-profits creating the future of healthcare. She spent 20+ years at Quest Diagnostics (DGX), Hewlett-Packard Medical (now Philips) (HP), and Nokia (NOK) in executive and senior engineering leadership positions in new ventures and research and development (R&D), culminating as Head of Strategic Partnerships & Services in Quest’s Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Ventures group. Ms. Tice co-founded, operationalized, and led two healthcare innovation startups and enabled the growth of a third as Founding Managing Director, COO & VP Product Development, and as a member of the CEO’s senior leadership team heading up strategic initiatives and technical operations.
Ms. Tice holds a B.Eng. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, respectively. She is certified in Cybersecurity, Digital & Systemic Cyber Risk Governance for Corporate Directors, Private Company Governance, and New Technologies/Digital Transformation.
