Daniel Hoffer
Daniel Hoffer is currently SVP, Corporate Development at Hayden AI, a Series C stage AI startup focused on smart cities.
Previously he served for many years as one of two investing Managing Directors at Autotech Ventures, an early stage venture firm (~$500M AUM) that focuses exclusively on ground transportation related companies worldwide. He also has experience as a Partner at Tandem Capital, a seed stage venture capital firm in Silicon Valley, and as co-founder and CEO of CouchSurfing, a travel website with >25 million members across every country and city in the world, and as a former Entrepreneur in Residence at Benchmark Capital.
Daniel was the founder of The Marketplace Conference which is the leading global conference for marketplace investing and management. In addition to entrepreneurial experience he has deep product management expertise from executive product roles at Norton (Symantec) and TripIt (Concur/SAP). Daniel has appeared on the cover of Inc. Magazine and been featured on the front page of the Boston Globe, as well as on ABC Nightline, NBC News, National Public Radio, and in the New York Times and Time Magazine. He has also been a guest lecturer at Stanford GSB, Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management, and the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia Business School.
