I have had the good fortune to work in the premium food business for 30 years, in marketing, sales and general management roles.
Since 2016 I have offered consulting and Country Manager services for European food clients through my company, Brandgrowth LLC. My primary expertise is revitalizing iconic international premium food brands. Prior management experience includes CEO roles at Walkers Shortbread US, Bahlsen Americas and Pots US (premium desserts); and marketing and buying roles at Keebler Company (Carr’s Crackers), United Biscuits (McVitie’s), Avon products and W H Smith plc.
Born in the UK, I have lived in the US since 1993 and became a proud US citizen in 2009.
I became GlobalScot in 2010: this is a Scottish Government-sponsored worldwide network of inspirational leaders advising Scotland’s ambitious companies.
Colleagues describe me as results-driven, consumer-focused, creative, dynamic, open-minded, and team-oriented. I have long been interested in emerging sales channels and non-traditional customer opportunities and was an early champion of ecommerce and social media marketing. My strong preference is to work with companies that offer authentic, better-for-you products with a long-term vision and clear values.
Education: MBA in International Marketing from Boston University, BSc in Government from the London School of Economics.
